Nihongoga Wakarimasne (I do not speak—any—Japanese)

Biggest update: 130 pictures from a month long trip in Japan in the spring of 2005. And boy, did I make a though selection from the 3,000 odd pictures that I took. You’re getting the executive summary. Also working on a more fancy version to present this all, but I first have to ramp up my html and flash skills (skilz?) for that one.

Nihon 2005

And harking back a year or two…

In case you missed it, or would like to have another go: you can still look at some nice pictures from India, Brussels and Durham.

I’ve only put captions with (most of) the pictures with nobody I know in them. If you would like to identify yourself to the outside world and tell us what you are doing in the photograph, that’d be great. It’d be even more fun if my friends want to leave comments on the pictures that don’t include them—wild guessing and smartypants remarks are strongly encouraged!

I’ve also noticed that I mostly take pictures of only four categories: people–sometimes as frame for the background (people in the plain English sense or in the French sense of People); details, without being empty or abstract; pictures in pairs; and food (well, at one time anyways). You’re welcome to suggest a new category if you think there is one :)

India

With a plenty pictures of a trip with my parents and sister to India. Goodness gracious me!

2004

Almost ended. Pictures from visiting friends, friends visiting and of course my car—again!

2003

More pictures from hanging out, in Brussels or elsewhere. And, oh no, more pictures with or of my car!

2002 - Europa

Some pictures from hops to Europe from the States and early pictures from my time in Brussels as a baby lawyer. And first proud pictures of Chiara, my then and now Italian (automotive) love.

Duke

Bordering on the melancholic, pictures from Duke. Lots of barbecue, even with the weather not permitting.

If you browse in full-size mode (press F11 ) you can easily flip through the thumbnails. You can also select a slideshow once you are in the album. Choose [slideshow] in the top right-hand corner. Don’t click on fullscreen applet unless you are feeling brave—no kidding, it crashes on all of my browsers! Use F11 for full-screen mode instead. Ignore any fault messages at the top of the page, if you reload they go away. Something happened to the server configuration, I have absolutely no clue what is, and was able to fix it but the comments show :(
